Meet This Year’s Stitch-Along
The Christmas story is full of the gospel. Instead of ushering in fear, the angel announced “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people” (Luke 2:10). The gospel is a message of joy for all people, and this stitch-along is meant to underscore the joy that comes with the arrival of Christ.
Sarah shares the heart behind “Good News of Great Joy” and shows you everything inside the kit.
How the Advent Stitch-Along Works
While we love having a beautiful finished project, this isn’t just about that. Rather, it’s about slowing down and making space for Christ in your Advent season.
Three weeks
Starting November 30, this Advent Stitch-Along will guide you step-by-step through our project in weekly sections. Each week includes three stitching portions, which you can complete anytime throughout the week.

Along with the stitching sections, you’ll find written instructions, Scripture to memorize, guided prayers, and Scripture readings to help you connect your hands and heart as you stitch. And of course, don’t forget our Advent playlist!
The Abide Stitcher’s Club

I’ve never embroidered before. Can I do this?
Yes! Whether you are in the early stages of wanting to learn embroidery or have been stitching with us for years, welcome! Each week has a step-by-step video that walks you through that week’s stitching section. You’ll find written instructions throughout the guide too, and our full library of stitching tutorials is always available on the Abide Embroidery Co. YouTube channel.
How do I get my free launch-week guide?
Add the Advent kit or the Good News of Great Joy digital guide to your cart, then add any one digital guide from our library (see the guides). Choose the digital version. It drops to $0 at checkout, no code needed. One free guide per order, through Mon., Nov 9 at 11:59 PM ET. The Good News of Great Joy guide itself can’t be the free one, so pick a different one.
What if I start late or fall behind?
You’ll always have the flexibility to go at your own pace. You’re welcome to move at the speed you feel most comfortable with.
What’s the difference between the kit and the digital guide?
The kit includes everything: the hoop, pre-printed fabric, felt backing, DMC floss, needles and the full digital guide. The digital guide on its own is for stitchers who already have their supplies, and you can add the pre-printed fabric to it with the Guide + Printed Fabric option.
Do I need to trace the pattern?
No. The kit and the Guide + Printed Fabric option both come with the design already printed on the fabric, so there’s no tracing of any kind. Just hoop it and start stitching.
How do I join the Facebook group?
The link to join The Abide Stitcher’s Club is inside your digital guide. If you bought the kit, scan the QR code card in your box to open the guide. You’re welcome to join as soon as you have it, before we start on November 30.
When will my kit ship?
Kits ordered during launch week (Nov 2–8) ship that same week, well before the stitch-along begins on November 30. After that, orders ship within 2 business days. For Christmas delivery in the continental US, please order by Monday, December 14. That gives us time to pack your order before USPS’s holiday deadlines: December 17 for Ground Advantage and December 18 for Priority Mail.
Can I give it as a gift?
Yes. Add a Ready-to-Gift Kit Box to your order, and use the note at checkout for a gift message (the packing slip is left out).
Do you have a discount for groups?
