I started embroidery the last few days of October with some Amazon kits and a stitch book then immediately jumped into ornaments and bookmarks for family Christmas gifts. I’m excited to practicing with a sampler I really like that points me back to Jesus and will be a great display piece for decor!
I am so excited to discover embroidery these past few months. I love the freedom of l expression and creativity it affords. I most frequently draw my own patterns but some patterns like this one are great to already have created for a newbie and I love that I can get the digital version that can be minimized or enlarged and I can add my own phrase, words, or Scripture before gifting to others. Praise God for Sarah’s talent, vision, and ability to share this with us!
As a former classical educator who has discovered embroidery these past few months this motif reminds me of what I always hope to promote what is true, good, and beautiful. I can see using the artwork in many ways to enjoy creating project that point others towards truth, goodness, and beauty found in Christ. I praise God for Sarah’s ambition and creativity that can bless me and in turn bless others.
I love this year's Advent stitch-along. The colors are beautiful and so is the design. Sara does a great job making sure everything is included in the kit and uses clear instructions (videos are so helpful for me as a visual learner!). These are so easy for beginners! I love the thought that has been put into each stitch-along.

I did some embroidery about 20 years ago on my own… just mostly a bunch of straight stitches on patterns I made myself. But I am loving these Abide embroidery kits and learning so many cool stitches. Love the quick and clear videos of how to make each stitch and how everything I need to make the project comes with the kit. Enjoyed doing this starter kit while sitting around with the family over the holidays. Will be purchasing other kits!

I really enjoyed completing this project, my 5th stitch-along with Abide. The pattern is beautiful and the floss colors look even prettier in person. Having the option to purchase preprinted fabric is very handy, as it saves the step of pattern transfer. The guide gives great direction and has clickable links directly to any supplies or how-to videos you might need. But perhaps the best part is the community of stitchers you get to be a part of when you join a stitch-along!
The pattern is terrific for breaking up into smaller or larger pieces to fit a space.

I completed my first stitch-along! I’m not new to embroidery but this is my first Abide design, and I loved it! Stitching the words made me nervous, but actually the back split stitch worked beautifully. Overall the design was lovely and simple to stitch, with only a few different stitches used, which made it a relaxing activity during the busy advent season. I may have found a new meaningful Christmas tradition.
This was just as great as all the other years I have participated. It’s great for beginners (only 3 different types of stitches) but also pleasant for experienced stitchers. The focus on Jesus while being creative is such a blessing in this season!
Every year, for the past several years, I try to learn a new skill or craft. For 2026 I wanted to learn embroidery so I decided to jump start my adventure with the advent stitch-a-long. I’m so glad I did! It was easy enough for a beginner due to the detailed instructional videos that are available, but it ends up looking like I’m an experienced embroiderer. Very satisfying! This was also a great way to slow down, focus on Christ, and enjoy the holiday season. I really needed this and am so glad I chose to try this project!
This stitch along was perfect for my Advent this year - it wasn't too labor intensive, and this pre-printed fabric made it simple for me to start. Love all of Sarah's work!
This is my 4th or 5th pattern I’ve gotten from Abide Embroidery. They are always so beautifully done, as well as simple, straight to the point, and easy to understand. The digital patterns are also delivered to my email immediately, allowing me to get started right away.
My first advent stitch along- the kit was amazing as always with everything you need!! I tell everyone who will listen about Abide and especially the stitch alongs! I love the group and community!!
This is my first official embroidery project to try and I’ve loved it! My 9 year old ended up joining me, which made it extra special. The guide is not only well done with very clear instructions and links to helpful videos, it is also pretty. The FB group was a bonus because you could get help and encouragement as you worked on the project. 10/10 recommend!
This might be my favorite advent stitch along so far! The pattern was simple but beautiful. The guide and videos are super helpful even for a beginner. The facebook group is great and always encouraging. I can't wait to make another one for a gift!
