“To Know God and Make Him Known” Embroidery Guide

I embroidered this pattern as a gift for my daughter. It made for the perfect gift. She recently returned from a mission trip and shortly after headed back to school at a public university. The message is beautiful and perfect for her situation. Thank you for the work you do. It’s been a great encouragement to me.

I bought this kit and another as something creative for a friend and I to do together. Neither of us had ever done any sort of needlework before so we tried to not be so daunted by learning this beautiful new skill. I was SHOCKED how easy it was to pick up! The kit comes with everything you need to make this creation happen! The best part are the videos that accompany. Each section is labeled with the color of thread you use and the stitch needed. You then can visit the video links for each stitch and watch how it is done and try to follow along. I was excited to learn each new stitch and watch my hoop come to life! And even more excited to see how reproducible these stitches are for the next thing. Learning on one kit, gave me the confidence to go into the craft store and get everything I needed for my next creation.

The kits are the best way to go for beginners! Whether I was praying, sitting on the couch watching TV, or on a long car ride, my kit came with me and kept my hands busy.

And if it feels like too much, grab a second kit and do it with a bestie! We had a blast working through our designs together!

I’m new to embroidering and this only my second full hoop so I’m still learning all the stitches. This one has been fun so far (I’m about halfway done) bc I can pick up and put it down easily when I have a few minutes since there are so many different flowers with a variety of stitches. Even if I only have 20 minutes I can see the progress with a flower or two being finished at a time. I’m excited to gift it to a friend

I’ve enjoyed doing this tutorial for it’s step-by-step simplicity, as well as the included links for all the specific stitches. Learning embroidery has given me a calming pastime to enjoy!

As a former classical educator who has discovered embroidery these past few months this motif reminds me of what I always hope to promote what is true, good, and beautiful. I can see using the artwork in many ways to enjoy creating project that point others towards truth, goodness, and beauty found in Christ. I praise God for Sarah’s ambition and creativity that can bless me and in turn bless others.
