Recently I’ve been itching for a design change in my office. For years I had a typewriter drawer (photo below) that I used to hang my hoops on. I truly loved the way it looked, but it was starting to overflow. As I created more designs, I began to dream of a way to display every hoop I had created. Nails were out of the picture and command hooks didn’t seem to give me the floating effect I wanted to achieve. Enter Poster Putty!
I was skeptical that it would work, but I thought I would experiment with just one hoop. I grabbed a small amount of putty and put a strip on the top of the hoop, a strip on the bottom of the hoop, and smacked it right to the wall. And, it stuck! Then, a week later, it was still there.
Once I knew the putty would keep the hoops secured to the wall, I knew I also needed to make sure it didn’t leave a mess—especially when that recurring design itch came back. The hoop was easily removed and no sticky residue remained.
Finally it was time to tackle the whole wall. When I finished I was so thrilled with the final result. It’s now been well over 2 months and the hoops are still hanging and look fabulous!
So what do you think? Will you give it a try?
