Modern Hoopla Frames: A Quick Guide to Easy Assembly and Stunning Displays

In February, we added something new and exciting to the Abide Embroidery Co. collection—our Modern Hoopla Embroidery Frames! Adding a new product is always a little nerve-wracking because you don’t know how they will be received, but these stunning frames have been such a hit that we’ve already reordered them seven times since their launch! And while Kate at Modern Hoopla includes amazing instructions with these frames to make them super simple to assemble, I wanted to put together a quick guide to walk you through the basics.

Step 1: Pick Your Color
These frames come in some stunning colors but our shop showcases three: caramel, black walnut, and natural. My personal favorite—and for sure a fan favorite—in the shop has been caramel. The beautiful rich warm tones are the perfect compliment to any Abide design.

Step 2: Pick Your Project
One of my favorite favorite (FAVORITE!) things about these Modern Hoopla frames is that you can both hang it on the wall—and also that you can change out your designs whenever you want! So maybe you’re hanging an Easter design now but a Mother’s Day design next month. The ease of switching them out is so simple.

Step 3: Line Up The Hoop in the Frame
You have your hoop color picked, your project selected and now you need to put the two together. Flip over your hoop and find the holes on the frame that are used for hanging your project on the wall. Once you have established where those are, place your finished project inside the hoop so that it’s right side up.

Step 4: Add the Shims
Stapled inside the product tag is a pack of cardboard shims. Remove a few pieces and place them between the gaps of your hoop and the Modern Hoopla frame evenly around the frame. Some shims may need to be folded in half and some may stay thin.

Step 5: Check Your Work
Once you’ve added your shims, turn your frame over and make sure your hoop looks centered in the frame. If not, take out a shim or two and adjust as necessary.

Step  6: You’re Done!
Your hoop is secure in the frame and is ready to be hung on the wall!

I hope this guide has made your framing process smooth and enjoyable! Don’t have a Modern Hoopla frame yet but ready to grab one? Grab your Modern Hoopla frame here

Perfect timing for this blog post. I just opened my order with my frame in it this weekend and did not realize that the pack of cardboard shims were stapled inside the product tag! Thankfully, I had not yet thrown the tag and packing box out yet and I was able to retrieve them :)
